Choose the 4-hour walk or 1-day trek if you have limited time or are traveling with family. Choose the 2-day trek for one night in a simple river camp, and the 3-day trek if you want the best balance of orangutan tracking, deeper forest time, camping, and rafting return.

Yes. Our 4-Day Jungle & Lake Toba Samosir Cultural Route (EUR 260 pp) combines Leuser orangutan trekking, scenic transport via Berastagi and Sipiso-Piso Waterfall, return ferry tickets, and lakeside accommodation in Tuktuk on Samosir Island.

Q03How do I travel from Bukit Lawang to Pulau Banyak?+

Pulau Banyak is located off the southern coast of Aceh. The overland car journey from Bukit Lawang to Singkil port takes roughly 9 to 10 hours, followed by a boat transfer to Pulau Balai or Sikandang. Our 6-Day Jungle & Pulau Banyak Expedition (EUR 350 pp) covers all transit, permits, beach bungalows, and private island hopping.

Q04Can I combine a jungle trek with the Bat Cave or Village Tour?+

Yes. Most travelers book the Bat Cave Tour (2-3 hours, EUR 30) or the Village & Cultural Becak Tour (3-4 hours, EUR 30) on their arrival afternoon in Bukit Lawang, before starting their multi-day jungle trek the next morning.
